Clearing customs on arrival instead of days later
Chronic border delays were costing a components importer weeks of working capital. Correct classification fixed it.

The challenge
Where they started
Vantage was importing components under inconsistent tariff codes applied by three different brokers. Shipments were routinely held for query — sometimes for four or five days — and duty was being overpaid across several product families.
What we did
The work
We re-classified the full catalogue with licensed brokers, filed binding tariff information for the contested lines, and moved to pre-arrival lodgement so declarations are filed before the vessel lands. Compliance screening now runs at booking rather than at the border.
“The customs team is the difference. Shipments that used to sit for days now clear on arrival — that alone paid for the move.”
